With over 60 years to cover, nearly 50 of those in preservation, the gallery could grow to be quite large.

For first steps, it’ll comprise a single page (scroll-down to see the bottom parts) and will attempt to keep pictures in chronological order.   Later on, there’ll be separate pages for various phases in the loco’s history

From Kingsley Harris, shows 73050 in black with the first version of the nameplate.

This dates the picture to around 1973-5.

A couple more from Kinsgley showing the boiler, freshly removed from the frames, loaded onto the Weltrol. It’s a bit surprising that the boiler was taken off with some of the backhead fittings still in place.

These were taken during an overhaul that started in the early 1990s but didn’t complete until 2005.

Authentic BR Brunswick Green. This stunning shot, courtesy of Brian Pearce, shows sister loco 73014. The boiler now carried by 73050 City of Peterborough was originally fitted to 73014 and this fact was used to justify the livery applied at the completion of the Brotherhood overhaul in 1980.
